What's the likelihood of the Subaru WRX 2015's heated cloth seats being a direct swap into my 2013? I sat in them during a test drive and really enjoyed them.
They match my car's interior. They're using the same cloth, same colors.
I guess my main concern would be keeping the heating functionality. The're using the same damn switch-gear for them. I don't imagine they changed much, right?
I mean, finding a set is I guess the other big concern.

do you know how much of the floor pan or platform changed? If its a totally new platform chances are slim its a direct swap. If its just a facelift on the same platform you have a shot at swapping them but you won't know until you see more of these cars on the road and someone tries it.
Worst comes to worst, custom brackets are required.

It's a new platform, but I mean, it's also a Subaru. There's still so much from the old car in that new car.

its up in the air at this point, I'm sure eventually someone will try to put these seats in an older car

I shall wait patiently for the inevitable forum post on NASIOC.

Heating cable should be an issue, pull part numbers up on the airbags though. Subaru likes to do a lot of cross-platform sharing so you might be in luck.

I swear those seats are identical to the ones in my 4th gen LGT (though the Legacy has leather and power driver / pass actuation)

If you find a wrecked one rip the seats from it, you can always make mounts for them.
